This is a long, sustained climb to Nordhoff Ridge Road near Nordhoff Peak. The landscape is covered in short shrubs and bushes, so there is no protection from the sun, so bringing plenty of water along is crucial. There are some wonderful views of the nearby mountains as you make your way up and down the hillside.

Pratt Trailhead

The Ventura River Preserve is a 1,600-acre protected wilderness just west of Ojai, California, managed by the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. It features over 12 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, taking you through oak woodlands, riverbeds, and scenic foothill ridges.
